Valour FC today announced that the club has re-signed midfielder Raphael Ohin.

Ohin, 26, joined Valour FC on January 10, 2019 after spending the last three seasons with WSA Winnipeg of the Professional Development League (PDL), scoring five goals.

“Raphael has been here since day one and is a part of this club’s identity,” said Valour head coach and GM Phillip Dos Santos. “He’s committed to the club, to himself as a pro and how he comes into work and gives his best every day. He’s a strong player and is someone who I feel hasn’t reached his maximum potential. I’m looking forward to helping him take the next step and I’m really excited to have him back. We know he’ll come into preseason eager to compete for a consistent spot in our midfield.”

In 2021, the midfielder made 28 appearances, totalling 2,135 minutes played, one goal and two assists.

During the 2020 season, Ohin made appearances in all seven of Valour FC’s matches, totalling 503 minutes played.

In Valour FC’s inaugural season, the midfielder made 22 appearances, totalling 1,572 minutes played. Before coming to Canada, Ohin played for academy teams in a number of different countries including Switzerland (2010-2011), Thailand (2012), Sweden (2013) and his home country of Ghana (2008-2010).
